Mason Greenwood’s resurgence in Ligue 1 has caught the attention of European giants, with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) now making a serious move for the English forward. The 23-year-old, who joined Marseille in the summer of 2024, has been in scintillating form, netting 14 goals in the French top flight.
Manchester United, who sold Greenwood for £27 million ($34m) last summer, included a crucial 50% sell-on clause in the deal. Now, with reports from Fichajes suggesting that PSG has tabled a €75m (£62m/$79m) bid, the Red Devils could be set for another financial boost.
PSG has been closely monitoring Greenwood’s performances and sees him as a potential attacking partner for Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The club is eager to bolster its squad with young talent, and Greenwood’s skill set makes him a prime target.

However, Marseille, who secured Greenwood on a contract until 2029, faces a tough decision. While they are keen to retain their star forward, the substantial offer from their domestic rivals could be difficult to refuse. Should Marseille accept PSG’s bid, Manchester United stands to gain significantly from their sell-on clause. The Premier League club, which nurtured Greenwood through their academy, could receive a much-needed financial boost if the transfer goes through.
