The future of Vinicius Jr. at Real Madrid has become a hot topic of discussion, with reports suggesting that contract negotiations between the two parties are far from reaching a resolution.
According to Relevo, the Brazilian forward sat down with Madrid officials two weeks ago to discuss a new deal, but no agreement has been reached.
Madrid reportedly presented an offer to extend Vinicius’ stay, but the 24-year-old turned it down, believing the terms to be insufficient—especially given the staggering sums being floated by the Saudi Pro League.

Rumors suggest that officials from Saudi Arabia are prepared to offer the Brazilian a jaw-dropping €1 billion (£834 million) contract.

Although Vinicius remains tied to Madrid until 2027, reports indicate that a €300 million (£250m/$310m) bid from Saudi clubs could be in the works. Despite this, Real Madrid remains optimistic about retaining their star forward for the foreseeable future.
Speaking on the matter, Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged the allure of the financial incentives being offered but maintained that Vinicius remains committed to the club.

“These are individual decisions. But to me, [Vinicius] looks happy and excited about staying here and winning trophies with Real Madrid. I think he’s thinking about choosing glory,” Ancelotti stated.
While the Italian coach understands why a player might be tempted by such an offer, he remains confident that Vinicius prioritizes legacy and success over financial gain.

Despite the record-breaking sums being rumored, Real Madrid still holds the upper hand in keeping their prized winger. Vinicius has repeatedly expressed his love for the club and his desire to win more titles in the iconic white jersey.

However, with the Saudi Pro League aggressively pursuing top talent and offering astronomical wages, Madrid may need to present an improved offer to ensure Vinicius stays at the Santiago Bernabéu for years to come.
For now, fans can only wait and see whether Vinicius chooses footballing glory or the financial riches that await in the Middle East.
