Man Utd Ready to Part Ways with £86m Winger Antony

Manchester United appear ready to move on from Brazilian winger Antony, just three years after his record-breaking arrival at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old joined the club in a high-profile £86 million ($107 million) deal from Ajax, but his time in Manchester has been underwhelming, to say the least. With just 17 goal contributions in 94 appearances, Antony has struggled to justify the hefty price tag, and the Red Devils are now exploring ways to offload him.

Expectations were sky-high when Antony arrived, having dazzled in the Eredivisie under Erik ten Hag. However, his performances in England have been inconsistent. While the Brazilian has shown flashes of brilliance, critics argue that his lack of productivity in front of goal and struggles with consistency have made him a liability.

United, currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, are keen to shake things up under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Reports suggest Amorim admires Antony’s technical ability but is open to letting him leave. The decision aligns with the club’s broader efforts to reshape the squad and address the underperformance that has plagued their season.

The 31-year-old midfielder has had moments of brilliance since arriving from Real Madrid but has also faced criticism for his performances this season. With Saudi clubs offering lucrative deals, United might see this as an opportunity to recoup some funds.
