In a significant and unprecedented move, the Nigerian House of Representatives has committed to donating 50% of their salaries for the next six months to help alleviate the widespread hunger crisis affecting the country.
This decision was made during a plenary session on Thursday, which was presided over by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

This initiative would result in the legislative chamber contributing N108 million monthly, amounting to a total of N648 million over the six-month period.
