NFF Denies Reports of Banning Victor Osimhen from Super Eagles

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has refuted media claims that Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has been banned from the national team following his recent social media outburst. According to the NFF, these reports are baseless and constitute outright falsehoods.

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, expressed his astonishment at the circulating rumors, clarifying that the Federation has not initiated, nor concluded, any process to ban Osimhen from the National Team.

He emphasized the need for accurate and responsible reporting, urging the media to collaborate with the NFF in addressing issues constructively.

“The NFF hereby implores the media to join hands with the body to positively resolve issues and then focus on the big picture all the time, rather than needlessly escalate certain matters.

By addressing these false reports, the NFF seeks to ensure that the focus remains on the team’s preparation and performance in upcoming international competitions.
