According to the Turkish publication Takvim, Fenerbahce has made an initial offer of €8 million (£6.8 million/$8.6 million) for Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The bid aims to strengthen their ‘number six’ role, a crucial position in their squad.
However, Tottenham has indicated that this offer falls short of their valuation, although they are open to negotiations if the bid is significantly improved.
The report suggests that Tottenham would consider selling the Denmark international for a fee of around €15 million (£12.7 million/$16.1 million).
Despite this, Fenerbahce is hesitant to meet such a high price given that Hojbjerg’s contract is set to expire in 2025. Therefore, the Turkish club is expected to only slightly increase their offer to approximately €10 million (£8.4 million/$10.7 million).
Hojbjerg’s journey at Tottenham began in 2020 when he transferred from Southampton, a few months into Jose Mourinho’s tenure as Spurs’ manager.

Under Mourinho, Hojbjerg quickly established himself as a key player, starting all 32 Premier League games before Mourinho’s departure in April 2021. Despite his consistent performance, Hojbjerg’s starting appearances have dwindled, with only eight league starts in the 2023-24 season.
Currently, Hojbjerg is representing Denmark at Euro 2024. He played in Denmark’s recent draw against Slovenia and is preparing for a significant match against England on June 20, where he will face his former Tottenham teammates Harry Kane and Kieran Trippier.
This international duty adds another layer of complexity to the transfer discussions, as his performance on the European stage could influence his market value and the negotiations between Tottenham and Fenerbahce.
