Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has criticized Meta-owned WhatsApp, alleging that the messaging app exports users’ data every night.
This claim came in response to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), where a user suggested that WhatsApp exports user data nightly, which is then analyzed and used for targeted advertising, effectively turning users into the product rather than the customer.
Musk echoed these concerns, stating, “WhatsApp exports your user data every night.” He added, “Some people still think it is secure,” highlighting his skepticism about the app’s data security practices.
